Somerville Architects / Engineers entered in the corporate t-shirt contest at the 2010 Bellin run. A basic concept and tagline were given to me, which I interpreted in the following way. Signage, and award were also created.

The following is an ad that ran in the Sheriff Benevolent Association’s periodical. Challenges included working in black and white, keeping a consistent brand style, message, and use of the “design matters” tagline. Obtaining the photo for this ad possessed its own challenges as well, but NWTC was gracious enough to let me use this awesome action shot of the facility in use.

A number of different mock-ups were done for this advertisement. Challenges presented were conveying that Somerville was the Architect for the Lambeau Field renovation, and to use the tagline, “Design Matter.” However, restrictions were placed on the images companies were allowed to use – no Packers players or logos, no Lambeau Field imagery. Below is the final ad that was run.

This is a partnership I was very excited to develop, assisting the DAR with a website re-design. I wanted it to feel like a clubhouse, so I used a lot of texture (wood, paper, watercolors) to achieve a fun, casual feel.
